LibraryLeatherhead Food Research's extensive Library includes a book collection of over 12,000 titles and conference proceedings and 300 current periodicals. It provides a book loan service for Members and a general photocopying service.

In addition, the Library can provide lists of recommended books on various topics and advise on the leading periodicals from either a subject or country viewpoint.

Members are welcome to visit the Library and use its services between 08.30 and 17.30 h from Monday to Friday.


Do you ever need information beyond core food science and technology? Do you need to keep up to date with what's going on in other food-related industries?

Leatherhead's information specialists can search across hundreds of databases on all sorts of topics. For example

A search on functional foods could, for example, include databases specialising in biological sciences, health and medical sciences, and nutrition, as well as Leatherhead's comprehensive FoodlineWeb databases.

Titles and brief details, or abstracts of articles, can be supplied, and in many cases we can obtain the full text of articles on your behalf.

Leatherhead has wide experience in searching across the world's database collections for national and international clients. Leatherhead's own FoodlineWeb databases provide comprehensive and up-to-date access to food industry information.
